State Representative Kevin McManus

Kevin McManus represents the 46th District in the Missouri House of Representatives. The 46th District is home to over 41,000 residents and includes portions of south Kansas City, Grandview and Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Kevin sits on the following legislative committees: Job Creation and International Trade; Workforce Development and Workplace Safety; Local Government; and General Laws. He is the ranking minority member of the Committee on Workforce Development and Workplace Safety.
In addition to his legislative duties, Kevin is an attorney with the Kansas City law firm of Martin Leigh Laws & Fritzlen, P.C. Prior to his legal career, Kevin was a researcher at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C, where he researched and advocated for policies that benefited working families.
Kevin is a 1997 graduate of Rockhurst High School. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Government in 2001. After college, Kevin was selected to participate in Coro Kansas City, an internship program dedicated to developing leaders in public affairs. Kevin received his J.D. from Saint Louis University in 2006. While there, he was an 1843 Scholar, served as an editor of the Law Journal and was a member of the Public Interest Law Group.
Kevin is a member of the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Grandview Chamber of Commerce, Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and Kansas City International Visitor’s Association.
He resides in the south Kansas City with his wife, Alex.
