Rep. Talboy, a Democrat, represents the Downtown, the Westside, 18th & Vine, Crossroads, Valentine, Parade Park and Longfellow heights areas of Kansas City (District 37) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in November 2006.

Rep. Talboy is a practicing attorney at Polsinelli Shughart and graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate in 2002 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and is actively involved in multiple organizations.

He currently serves as the Chair of the House Democratic Campaign Committee, placing him at the center of the political operation for the upcoming elections. In the Missouri House, he has played a vital role in the Democratic Caucus serving on key committees dealing with health care, immigration and the House Rules committee.

Before having the honor of being elected to the Missouri House of Representatives, Rep. Mike Talboy was involved in local and national politics since 2001. In 2004, he was appointed Regional Field Director in Missouri for the Missouri Coordinated Campaign, where he played a key role in developing the top field organization in the country for Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry.

Rep. Talboy was born in Boise, Idaho. Rep. Talboy has resided in Kansas City for 16 years. His father, Dr. Glenn E. Talboy Jr. is a general surgeon at Truman Medical Center and his mother Edna Salcedo Talboy is an education and instructional design consultant. He also has two brothers, Glenn and Geoff.
